2025-2026 Cohort

Esme Flores is a warm and dedicated professional counseling associate who’s passionate about helping people heal, grow, and feel more connected to themselves and the world around them. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bushnell University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish from the University of Oregon.

Trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), she supports clients working through trauma, managing emotions, and building meaningful relationships with a client-centered, compassionate, evidence-based approach.

Based in a rural community in Oregon, she deeply understands the challenges underserved populations face and approaches her work with cultural sensitivity and a strong commitment to making mental health care more accessible. Her populations of interest include Spanish-speaking clients, children, and individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. Whether helping a young child manage big feelings, a teen explore identity, or an adult heal from past trauma, she strives to create a safe, affirming space where clients of all ages feel seen, supported, and empowered.

Currently, she is expanding her knowledge through the ACT program, receiving specialized training in early childhood development. She’s especially excited to support children ages 0–5 and their families during these foundational years.

When not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family. Whether hiking, camping, relaxing in a hammock, or simply getting some fresh air, nature helps her recharge and stay grounded. This calm and focused energy carries into her work with clients.

Understanding that healing takes time and support, she is committed to working with clients in a way that’s open, respectful, and understanding.
